Default EMU Communication issue

I have a EMU that i purchased and am having trouble establishing communication with my computer. My computer is running 32-bit windows xp home edition. Also im using a boomslang harness so hopefully wiring isnt the issue

I have the program installed(latest version from their site) but when i first connected the usb to mu pc it tried to find/install the driver but it could find it. So that being said i have no communication with the EMU and the car will not start(spins over but no fire).

Any ideas what the problem could be? i tried to find the driver online but could not find it. Thanks

So an update on where I'm at now. I have established that the computer recognizes the devise and asks if i want to install the driver software. I've tried the option to let it find the driver on its own...that didnt work. Now to manually install the driver do i need the disk or is it in the download from the greddy site? I've tried to find it but i cant seem to find it.

I really just wanted to say that I've bought 2 emanages in the past and never been able to get them to work. Have you considered selling the pos and buying a megasquirt?

But I didn't want to be completely useless so I searched around and found this thread: Emanage ultimate driver Someone posted a link to the driver download there, if you're feeling lucky.

*No affiliation with the site so download at your own risk

I've actually tried megasquirt but it is an even bigger pain than I want to deal with lol although I do like idea of having a full standalone. I still have it just have had trouble getting help with it

I had found that site but I never could access the file because you have to login but I couldn't make an account and Idk why. I may just sell it abd hope I can get my megasquirt to work.

I'm just not that good when it comes to electronics and there aren't many people around here that can really help me.

I feel your pain. The upside to a megasquirt, for a miata at least, is that's what everybody else runs so there is a lot more support and information out there. Good luck getting it working.
