Hry guys, well im still waiting on the turbo kit from avo :( but have the emu installed & it has been running for a few weeks now with out too many drama's, so its time to put the wideband in & see what it can do...

my problem is that option 1 has the map in it
option 2 will have the o2 clamp
& option 3, oh hold on there is no option 3......

or is there?

how are you guys set up?

I have my pressure sensor on option one, to get rid of my MAF. My option 2 is a for my LC 1 WB. Im not running an o2 clamp but I know you run that into the EMU harness...ask Joe. Then you use the AUX output to control it.

My LC1 is recognized by the EMU now and its pretty cool to see the af target map chaning my injector map in real time and watching the a/f be corrected. It helped out a ton having hte wb hooked up.

Better use Option 2 for your wb-input.
Connect the output from your widebandsystem to the left pin at the option port 2 using a cdrom-audio cable. Then you have to setup the option port at the parameters setting.
For the o2clamp set Jumper 10 to 2-3 to activate the vtec out (= auxiliary output, effected by the auxiliary output setting map). It is pin 14 at connector B. It provides you 12V when activated.

No, but some other ports are free to use, the injector channels, especially Ch-A and Ch-B.
You could activate Ch-A by setting jumper 19 to 1-2. It´s pin 26 on connector B.
Ch-B is activated by setting jumper 20 to 1-2, pin 27 on connector B.
Both provide ground when activated.
The settings have to be done in the parameter settings. I could make some screenshots if necessary.

& how are you guys set up?

Option 1 for the greddy pressure sensor
Option 2 for Zt-2 linear output
Aux for o2clamp
Ch-A for fuel pump (AFM removed)
Ch-B maybe in the future for fan control.

The two option ports are inputs, not outputs. They're used for:
1- MAP Sensor
2- WBO2 Sensor
3- A switch, to trigger log (very rarely used)
4- Additional temp sensors (also very rare)

In reality, we always use them for MAP and WBO2. The rest is fluff.


Triggering an O2 sensor clamp requires an output from the EMU- these are all in the main harness as PT says. Specifically, I am using the Aux Output map in the software, which drives the VTEC output wire- connector B, pin 14.

You will also need to set JP10 to 2-3. This will cause +12 on pin 14 whenever the Aux Output map is in an ON cell.

isnt the switch for log trigger
pluged into the "switch" port
on front?
I havnt used mine till now,
do I need to configure
the log trigger in the support

That is the preferred method, yes.

However, the option ports can also be used for switching. On the Front Panel tab, each OPTION port box has a number of selections. Pressure sensor, A/F meter, and also "External Switch"

Then, in both the Main Logger tab there is an option to switch by either "Remote" (the default) or Switch 1 or Switch 2.

In actual practice, I've never seen anybody use a switch on the Option ports, because to do so requires that you give up either the MAP sensor or the WBO2 sensor, and doing that would somewhat defeat the purpose of running an EMU. It does however remain an available option should someone, somewhere actually want to use it.
