E-Manage wiring harness question.
I recently aquired an E-Manage Blue with the basic wiring harness, the one to make settings with the AFM/MAS/VAF (there is so many acronyms I have lost track).
Well, when I go into the mission of purchasing the additional wiring harness, I want to buy the injector and ignition harness.
When I buy the injector harness will I lose the capabilities of making settings with the AFM? I ask as I do not know if the injector harness include the "basic" AFM harness with it, or better yet the cables needed to make the adjustments.
As for the Ignition harness, I think that one comes in an additional plug, but I am not sure.
Is it possible to make settings with the injectors, AFM and boost pressure at the same time or do I have to choose?

You can have it all wired up at once, no problem there. You may also want to check out Boomslang Fabrication - The Performance Wiring Specialists for a pnp harness.
As far as AFM and boost pressure, you tune based on one of them (selectable on the ignition and additional injection maps). I would recommend getting a pressure sensor, either GM 3 bar or the GReddy sensor. I went with the GM 3 bar and wired it into the TPS input as I have my wideband o2 sensor going into the boost port.
Use the additional injection and ignition maps when tuning if you can-- the airflow adjustment map changes the MAF signal which can affect timing.

You don't need the injection harness. You can move a few spare wires around that are unused on the main harness for the injectors. The ignition harness does use the separate plug and you can buy it if you want. If your cheap, grab an old stereo connector jack from an older mazda as it can be used to plug in where the injector harness plugs into.
For a cheap map sensor, use the 3 barr motorola one for 20 bucks from glen's garage web site.

I have the motorola map sensor which I gave it a try on an ASFC, it would not work. I think the sensor is too brittle and I may have burned it while soldering. THe box states to use extreme caution, but there is no way around it when applying heat to the pins. I got R/C cars so I am pretty good on swapping bad receiver antennas, and on those you have to be super quick.
The one on EBAY seems pretty solid to me, no soldering involved which is a good thing.
Also, I read the sensor has to be calibrated or something when connecting to the piggy back, for pressure settings people recommend to use a tire pump.
About an older Mazda, do you refer to other vehicles, like 626, 929, RX-7s?
There is a junkyard nearby and I was planning to go on this weekend...

I believe it's anything that uses the miata style plugs... so... if you look up the radio kit number, you can see what models it will work with.
If you look at one of the stickies, Olderguy made an EMB by-pass harness from the radio replacement plugs. It actually works well. I was using it to test the cop wiring. Need to still wire in the dwell reducer to run the cops though.
Also I've got a GM 2-bar map wired into the "option" port.
Wide-band will get wired into the AFM-II port for datalogging with the emanage tools software (3rd party), when around to that too. <G>

Luckily went to a junkyard and found a harness to install secondary plugs, I think it was one of those cop cars or an older Grand Marquis or something like that, incredible what one can find on wreckers. Anyway, like stated in another thread, the Manage is out, S-AFC is IN and running good so far.
