Default go ahead and flame...nooby booby question

well guys, ive read and read and havent really found out a complete/full answer...

i have a 1997 miata, power wise....stock.

im planning to go turbo down the line and so have just been doing research on the computer end of it all. Ive got a friend that built his own turbo kit for a 2004 mazda 3 sedan auto and he runs the AEM FIC and loves it. ive read about some people with the FIC on their miatas and they say they have problems. so now i am trying to figure out what i should get in the future...pi know im beating a dead horse and all but was just looking for advice on going with the AEM FIC, or a standalone like megasquirt or a hydra...please let me know pros and cons. in the mean time, ill be reading.

thanks and sorry

Give us a list of all the things you want us to do and we'll try to have it finished by the end of the day. Thanks for the opportunity to do everything for you. Can I drive down there and do all the work too?

OP lemme help you out brohomo.

Gonna try and sum this up because i'm half retarded like you sometimes.

AEM = $9000000
MS = $500-700 with unlimited free spoon fed information and help on your favorite miata site MiataTurbo where we make decisions for you. Ask fae, he knows.

What irritates me the most is that we JUST had a thread with this same question like last week. And another one JUST like it a few weeks before that.

And I'm not even generalizing or exaggerating: the questions are almost identical.

I hate stupid lazy people

i coudlnt find the thread....i looked and continued looking after i posted this. instead of truly flaming, hows about posting a link to the thread? i mean, i understand that it deserved a smart remark a bit but when you literally call the person lazy and stupid....thats a bit too much. am i ignorant on THIS subject? obviously...or I wouldnt be here. am i ignorant on everything in life (stupid)....not at all. you dont know what ive done in motorsports or life in general. so, sorry for asking. if i did something that was completely against the rules of the forum then maybe the forum shouldnt have allowed me to post what i posted...all i did was ask a question.

so 18psi, your string is showing...would you like someone to pull it for you? youre due for a new one soon.

erat, im fully fine with your response haha. "brohome" and "im half retarded like you sometimes"...thats just funny stuff right there. responses like that are completely ok. im an outgoing guy and i understand jokes.

so i guess ill just keep reading and never post another question about anything until my post count gets to 10k plus...that way people will think that I know everything and so any question that ill be asking will be a good question and worthwhile.

....sorry for getting your panties in a wad and thank you for taking effort/time to respond in a rude way to make yourself feel better. i say that because if it didnt give you pleasure in responding with rude comments then you couldve saved yourself some time and effort and not responded at all

O RLY?

And before you QQ some more:
Just browsed the "ECU's and Tuning" section as well as the "AEM" subsection and found the threads I was referring to in my previous post. In summary: it sucks. Comparing it to MS or Hydra is an insult to MS and Hydra. Anything that is a signal modifier (fic, emanage, safc, pc-pro, voodoo box, etc) is Garbage.

kthxbi

For future searching reference you almost always get better results by searching google with "miataturbo.net: search phrase" Our search function always seems to give me bullshit threads so I never use it.

Yeah you have to go in and use the advanced search to narrow it down. I found works best.

Or just troll the forums. Lurk old posts.

And really... Read Fae's build thread, as it's a good resource for things not to do.

Can someone please search on the forum for me and then post all the link in this thread? Also, could someone else read through the posts for me and record an OGG or FLAC file for me so I can listen to it later? Does anyone know of a good media player to use that will preserve audio quality?

It's because the search bar (and the default for the advanced search too) sorts by last post date rather than relevance.

Sorting by new is good if you want to find a thread you know was recently active, but 100% useless for finding any info.

The first thing I do when I hit the "advanced search" is to switch it to sort by relevance. Is there any way we can get that to be the default (at least for the advanced search, if not the search bar up top)?

In addition, can someone please tell me how turbo charging works and if its better to go with a supercharger? what are the pros and cons? Someone told me it was a good idea to put sand in my oil to get rid of this lifter noise. Is that a good idea? Im gonna jb weld dimes to my pistons to increase my compression. Is this a good idea? Im lazy I know but because I am telling you this it makes my questions valid and forces you all to answer me with informative and serious answers.

Your a young-buck turbo Miata crew member. After half a decade of the same laziness over and over and over, without any redeeming qualities, you will be in my shoes. If this guy had something to contribute like some humor, nudes of an aardvark (different from an ant eater), or cash for my Paypal account, we'd all like him more.

I can guarantee you without a hint of doubt, in the past before we kinda got muzzled a bit, we were WAY worse. As a matter of fact, pretty much the worst of the bunch have all posted in this thread and yet, the noob still lives. This shows you just how much things have changed....idve posted picks of gore, puss filled cysts and animal **** by now if these were the old days
