Like the title says, I purchased a Link standalone, and I have all custom one piece intake hardpipe, and I am unsure of how to enter the sensor or even how to make a bung for it. And how would I do this without boost leaks, any info Id appreciate! thanks

Mine is like the 2nd from bottom, the smaller pipe with the slot in it. The slot holds the slightly wider end of the circuit board. I've had to use tape or other found objects to wedge it in and then slide the rubber hose over it that goes to the throttle body. It's ugly, inefficient and another reason I'm looking forward to ditching the Link sometime in the future. Also, be absolutely sure you have good electrical connections with shrink wrap and solid ground connection. The IAT sensor is notorious for being troublesome and it was for me until I figured out the right way to set it up for my car.

Would you happen to have a picture of yours exactly? It would be really helpful to see another miata with link.

I took pics but not going to take it all apart to show you - pics attached with black & chrome pipes. Luckily I found this other pic on this forum when searching google - red pipe and circuit board, it shows in great detail the orientation and fitment of the IAT circuit board and older FM hardpipe design with notch.

So do what the red pipe pic shows, then mount like mine if you so choose.

Also I bet FM's build pics archive or the lame, OG miataforum performance section has loads of FMII install threads with pics, bound to have this documented.

edit: looks like the red pipe has the IAT on the other side (passenger side) and my current setup with FM's new flexible hoses and chrome uppipe is mounted on the right (drivers side).

PS - look at FM's manuals, they are excellent reference. Link was the hotness for a long, long time so there are bound to be tons of resources if you look on miata forums, mailing lists, etc, but you'll have to search thea rchives.

I just drilled a hole in my intake and used used a pcv grommit to hold it in place. Get one that fits very tight on the sensor with a "prong like" end.(the only visual I can think of is a *****.lol) Then you just pop said sensor with grommit attatched into hole. So far so good. I'll get pics when I get home.
