Enclosures, jacks, and all of the cable came in today. Now I'm just waiting on the PCBs (******* slow *** canadian post) and the power cords. Hopefully everything will show up by monday and I can fire up the soldering iron.
Canada Post does suck. I've had packages sitting in the same location for 14 days in my own city.

PCBs are cheaper in Canada?

I'm glad everyone is into this idea, hopefully these will be ready soon. I have the parts here and I have some of the assembly done, I'm just trying to work out the last few issues.

1.Long story short...I'm dumb and accidentally ordered 20 mono plugs instead of 10 mono/10 stereo. Meaning that only one headphone works (obviously). I'm going to make a trip to fry's and hopefully they will have what I need, otherwise I'll be shipping in what I need from newark/allelectronics.

2. I'm having issues with cig-lighter power. With a battery everything works as expected, but from a wall adapter or the cig lighter there is some high level noise that I just cant seem to get rid of. It makes sense as there is a hefty pulse generated by the alt, but I'm not using it strait from the plug, I have it going through a filtered regulator and its STILL ******* THERE. I've been beating my head against the wall for 2 days trying to deal, but its slow going as I dont exactly have an EE degree ( though I may be starting to rectify that soon ).

I'll keep everyone posted.

10 in the first batch. I didn't want to front a ton of money in case I end up having to eat it. So far they perform as expected, I'm just want to get these bugs ironed out. As soon as I do that, I'll start pumping them out in larger batches.

I'm halfway done assembling boards. I'm short 1 cap that I'm going to pick up today. I'm making a final run to Fry's tomorrow to grab some battery holders, after that its all assembly.

Hehe, I'm trying to avoid a COP situation. Until this first batch is done, tested and packed up for shipment, I'm not going to start taking cash. IF this goes over well, I'm going to order in larger quantities and stock them.

Jeff,

Are you going to be able to put a full size stereo handphone jack on 1 set so I can use the Lightspeed noise cancelling headset??

Hehe, I've had so many people offer to be test mules that I think I should stop messing with cars and start a donkey ranch
(dont get hung up on semantics, I know mule donkey...picky bastards!)
I should have omitted the testing part. They are tested and working, I just meant QC for each unit.
