Default Will the 1.6 stock ECU run OK without a TPS signal?

Just a quick question if anyone can help. I am running MS on my 93 right now with a BMW TPS. I want to pull the MS to swap it over to my 96, but I don't have a stock 93 TPS anymore. My old one donated it's plug to the BMW TPS pigtail so it's gone. I plan to pick one up from the junkyard next week, but I'd like to pull the MS this weekend. Anyone know if not having a TPS signal will upset the stock ECU or will it even care? Looking at the schematic it looks like the signal wire doesn't get any signal except at WOT when it connects to ground so I'm thinking the stock ECU shouldn't care. I'm guessing it might trigger the CEL, but I don't care about that.
