lol good luck replacing your cat. Or rather swapping it for a test pipe if you want to try launch control again.

If you have a cat you cant dump unburnt fuel into it.

He's trying to say that launch control will destroy your cat with much quickness.

you wanna spool it up fast? remove the fuel cut and raise the limiters higher, like 4k.
good luck with that cat lol

ok higher revs will probably make the tires wash? 80 fuel cut 60 spark cut doesnt build boost.

Clearly more fuel or less spark works which is less danergous to try first as im unlikely to 0% fuel 100% spark. hehe

You either do it or you don't.

Don't ask stupid questions like: "how do you set up launch control without destroying a cat and with minimal strain on the rest of the car?"

That's a stupid question because if you don't want to damage stuff you shouldn't use launch control.

I dont recall asking that? If it blows out my exhaust in pieces oh well. I dont need 10psi at launch. Hell maybe more boost is not the answer. Maybe ill just launch at a higher rpm at 0psi.

There you go. For the record I think that method is way better than launching in boost because unless you're making teeny weeny power and/or have some serious traction-enhancing modifications done chances are you'll just light up the tires and actually be slower off the line.

Look at soviets vid (I can't see it at work now but pretty sure I remember it from way back): despite having sticky tires and launching in 2nd gear he still lays stripes like no tomorrow. The trick is to manage bog and spin, not have a ton of either.

And yet it is the answer you need. Maybe you should have asked that?

If you use spark cut launch control you will plug your cat and your car will not run. What part of this don't you understand? Launch control = dump unburnt fuel into the exhaust. Unburnt fuel in the exhaust = plugged up cat.
