Default Mounting wells tps210

How does the tps mount to the plate? How does it detect the throttle position, I am not comprehending this, also my sensor slides over the throttle shaft without needing to file anything to fit like the "how-to" states.

Should the tps rotate with the throttle shaft?

Does washer/post combo need to be cut off so the tps can sit flush on that mounting plate?

Is that yellow plastic collar piece required in the right side of the photo?

Your photo shows a "D" type opening that keys into the throttle shaft which I do not have. I am still unsure how this reads the position, it appears yours is mounted on top of that post where the old plastic mounted was mounted (shown in second photo), is that correct?

mine's not the same Wells are yours.

I need to find the one ggreg used and update the post with that. it has the correct shaft key like the one i edned up with.

Notice on Ben's writeup that you need to shave the center to fit the TB's "D-shaped shaft...

I read that, but my opening is large enough that the shaft slides through without needing to file anything, that is also where I am confused.

Default tps

If you can't find the Wells anymore then you could try Standard th56.I cross referenced the Wells part number and the th56 is the alternative.Looks almost the same to me!

Ancient thread... But I am attempting to get some stuff installed today and my Wells TPS is on my list. Will this thing work with the stock ECU? I'm doing this at my work's garage and if I cant get up and running on my MS I will have to swap back to the stock ECU to get home.

Yeah thats pretty much what I was thinking, but figured it was worth asking. Look's like I am going to have to wait till I have a few day stretch where I wont be SOL if I can't get my car to run. Maybe i'll pick up a spare stock TPS...Hmm
