So I was driving the other day and my whole car just powers down. let it sit for a while, while i tried to figure out what the hell was going on didn't have a fuel pressure gauge on me so I test some other stuff, after it sat for about 20min it started up again and drove for about 10 minutes; and then again it just died.

So I get the car towed home and try to start it with a fuel pressure gauge hooked up and its showing 0 fuel pressure. I replace the stock 20yr old pump with a new warlboro 190lph and still no fuel pressure.

I'm thinking its maybe the relay? It does prime occasionally but won't start. I do have a MS built by brain wired in parallel. And Where is the relay? lol not under the hood like it really should be.

well got it working kinda, its a power issue. the pump turns on and works fine with it jumped in the diag box. so i gotta just find out why and where its not getting power

Jumping the diagnostic connector is equivalent to the closure normally given by the AFM. It controls the "normal" coil of the fuel pump relay. In other words, there's no difference between jumping the diagnostic connector and driving normally, with the exception of the AFM itself.

Thus, if it does not work when trying to drive normally, but it does work when you jump the diagnostic box, then the AFM's switch contacts are bad (or the wiring to the AFM has a problem.)

ok i'll take a look at the pins, the OP did the afm delete i'll see if he did it properly

Well, if he deleted the AFM but was running a parallel...I'm going to assume he later added in the fuel pump control. As like joe said, the AFM took care of that.

If the fuel pump wasn't already just jumped in the box to begin with, I'm assuming a wire was ran from the MS to the fuel pump relay under the dash. I'd look into that connection.

It was jumped -_- found a wire in there that wasn't making a good connection. I took it out and put a paper clip in and it started right up -_-. I hate Half assed Jobs.....
