Default Direct fire advantages

Hi,

I'm considering wiring up my Toyota COPs in a direct fire configuration. Obviously this burns up two extra outputs on the ECU, so I want to know what is to gain by doing this?

The Toyota COPs seem to run on very low dwell times so I don't think they will have much of a dwell-shortening issue when run at high RPMs in wasted spark?

Cheers
