Question 1.6 turbo build

I am 17 and doing a 1.6 turbo build. to make sure the miata is what i want im doing research and talking to people that have done the build. I know a good bit about miatas and mechanics. But im going to do a complete rebuild of a 1.6 because the bottom end holds up alittle better with boost. i want to do turbo pistons, turbo rods, cams, valves, springs, get the head ported and polished, and anything else i can think of while its tore down. What do you guys think about it?

Pending on what your goals are for the project, you may not need to upgrade all of the components. The FAQ is a great spot for answers though. What are your expectations of the car..???

I'm looking to squeeze about 350hp out of it. Money is not an object.

Why build a 1.6 when the 1.8 is better?

Money is no object? If that truly is the case my starting point wouldn't be a 90-93 miata.

The 90 to 93 is the lightest model and the easiest to find parts for. And the 1.6 has a stronger bottom end. So, it holds up better with higher psi.

If I wanted rediculous power, I'd go 13b twin turbo .
