Default Oversize pistons 1.6 NA

Hi, well, I just shot my first engine after a couple of years of abuse... After having abnormal amounts of steam coming from my breather I pulled my engine, tore it apart to find that my pistons had broken piston ring "walls"(the wall which seperates the piston rings from eachother). I also noticed that my rods where slightly bent. I have no idea of how this happend as I have only run aprox 14psi of boost.

I figured that I would buy new connecting rods and pistons of oem quality and lower my boost for the future, but I cant seem to find any pistons or rods as "replacement" parts for the car, only forged pistons and rods which would cost about 1.5-2k usd which is way more than I am willing to spend on my car. I would happily buy a new motor but there are none for sale in sweden at the moment. I found some cheaper "performance" pistons that are .25mm or .5mm oversize. Would I have to bore my block in order to fit these? or will a good recondition of the walls due?

How would you face this?

Money is tight since I am in "college" at the moment and have a very very limited income every month.

To the rehone: This can only be checked out by a machine shop or someone with great tools and knowledge.

Can't you find stock 1.6 engines in sweden? I can get these all day long for 100-200€ in Germany. I know a guy who has at least 5 of these in his garage.

As for pistons: Buy some stock replacement oversize pistons (maybe for the 90hp model, these are 9:1) and some china forged rods, shouldn't be over 600€ and it can take some boost.

No, there are currently 0 motors for sale. Is there a website where people sell the engines in germany where I can order one?

I havent found any pistons at all that are under 600 euros, is there a website that you can reccomend? I tried looking at ebay but the prices are out of this world.

Here you go. 300€ for a new set with rings/pins -> 1.6 0.5mm oversize

Maxpeedingrods are available for 250-300€ all day long...

ebaykleinanzeigen.de is mostly for private users, but a very good source for parts. https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-...8212-223-19878 for example.

Thanks! I just bought the maxpeedingrods connecting rods for 270 euro. I cant seem to find some standard size rod bearings, only .25mm oversize bearings from ilmotorsport. I suppose these are for when you have had work done to your crank which I havent. Is there a reason the standard size is sold out everywhere?
