Default Rod bearing locks?

I know that the rod side with the bearing locks (the little ramps) goes on the intake valve side of the piston.
In my engine the locks are on the exhaust side of the piston.
Should I take the head off and take all the pistons out and flip the rods? The engine was never ran just assembled. I heard that this really does not matter much on a miata?

If the motor is still out, it may be a good idea to swap them, even if just for piece of mind later.
