Default Bosch ev14 injectors leaking

So I purchased a set of matched 650cc ev14s from Fiveomotorsports a bit ago.

The injectors are leaking where the injector body meets the aluminum extender, quite a bit too. There was a small puddle under the car by the time I noticed.

Here is a picture of the injectors to illustrate where the extension hat meets the injector. Its the aluminum piece on top.

The bare injector looks like this.

I have read this is a common issue with these injectors. When I installed mine I used a dab of lube on the o-ring and had to twist and push extremely hard to get them to seat. It seemed like the tolerances were much too tight.

Any suggestions or known fixes? Particular size O-ring that better does the job?

Getting to the fuel rail on a 1.6 car sucks dick. The overly complicated Begi rail has made it even harder. FML

I'd like to get this done in one go, pulling the valve cover so I can get to the air valve is really annoying.

Its either a bad seal (which you may have torn when force------- the injector in to the extender), mis-aligned injector/rail, or both.
Either way, remove, inspect, replace seal as needed, and try again.

fwiw, one of my ID1000's (premium version of what you have) leaked like a ---- the 1st time I threw it on. Removed, re-seated, and it was fine.

Don't be a puissy and lube them rings up like a motherfuccker before sliding the jimmy hat on. I recommend this for condom sex too.

I used regular old oil and my ---- don't leak. I may have as well have dipped the sucker in the oil juice like it were a papa john pizza crust, it was so damn juicy when i slid that hat on.

It really shouldn't be sold to people without that cold side kit they developed it for.

Its a Huge pain in the --- to install. The bar that holds the injectors down never actually tightens down on each injector, its more of a backing plate you sandwich them in with. So you have to wiggle each injector in while all the other ones keep popping out.

Then, you have to route 4 pieces of 6.4mm fuel hose around the backside of the intake manifold along the "rail", in the 1.6 case smash the hose under the air valve. Which makes the fuel rail bolt a headache to get to.

Then, you have to figure out where the ---- to mount the distribution block. I deleted my washer fluid tank and hung it off the side there. Saved me from drilling the fire wall.

Over all I think it hands down is the worst purchased "upgrade" I have made so far. I should have just got the ---- OBX rail.

Now it looks like an octopus is attacking my IM. Joy.

Oh, yeah. Worst part is if I want to upgrade to stainless lines I have to send my distribution block back to Begi. They didn't make the holes far enough part. So for another $100 I get a replacement block and stainless lines. This rail is a winner.

Jesus, and I thought my M-Tuned was a PITA. This thread scared me as I have a set of 550 flavored FiveO EV14's sitting here on my desk next to me. Something I just noticed, mine have one big black O-Ring where yours has a pair of lil green ones... maybe that's not helping?

LoL! This is similar to the quote that I have been using anytime I do something to my car that I really don't feel like doing. I say "If Faeflora, who claims to have had no experience with wrenching on cars prior to owning a Miata, and now has possibly the highest horsepower Miata in America with the biggest turbo ever put on a Miata...if he can pull his engine out in 2 hours...then why the he(( am I Fu@kin around with my car build?"

what size injectors would you have to be running to justify that contraption?

Unless your trying to feed your injectors a bag of dicks, you don't need that contraption.

Way to many ****** attacking my intake manifold with this thing.

As for the orings, I haven't had a chance to try and reseat them. I am not sure if I have dual o-rings or a single. That was just a stock photo I posted to illustrate the extension hats for those not familiar with the ev14s weird adapters.

Anyone want to play around with it, have a rubber fetish, or like ******?

I'll trade for a dual feed, I'll take an obx w/ lines haha.
