fresh 1.8 first start

Default fresh 1.8 first start

i finally wrapped up my 1.8 swap today. filled it up with oil and coolant, hooked the battery back up and tried to start it.


it cranked, but didnt fire

i'm more concerned about the gauge on the dash showing no oil pressure when i was cranking it. i didnt crank it very long, the battery is almost dead.

what would cause a fresh motor to have zero oil pressure?

Did you not get oil pressure before trying to start it.....uh

Pull the plugs, crank it until you get oil pressure.
