Default New Exhaust New Issue

I have read through the forum and seen the other over boosting threads but I am still having trouble figuring out my issue. I have a stock 1.8 with a BEGi S4 with a 2860 and until I got my new exhaust I was running 11 to 12 PSI of boost. I just installed a 3 inch turbo racer and LOVE the quicker spool but I can no longer control my boost and I am hitting my over boost cut off at 14.2 PSI at 5K now at anything over 50% throttle. I have talked to BEGi and my turbo is ported and my wastegate is opening as far as it should. I really do not want to go back to my stock exhaust but I have a track event on Friday and really want to only run 12 PSI till I have a chance to build a forged motor. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to fix this or at least bandaid myself through it? I am working on building a restricter to install just behind my resonator using a piece of 2.5 in pipe to force the exhaust through.

Anyone else had this problem or a solution?

Thanks

Yes.

Larger exhaust generally does this. Do you have a way to control boost beyond the wastegate, such as a manual boost controller? If so, just turn it down. If not, you'll have to buy a different wastegate.

I am using the built in wastegate and the actuator is set as long/low as it will go.

I guess adding restriction to the exhaust my only option then.
