Help Diag my Girlfriends car
1994 1.8
Megasquirt
gt2554
Toyota COP
550cc's
Ran fine for the 1st year or so
Lately, Her car is acting weird, While normal driving, hwy or city, hot or cold days, after a while, the car goes develops a misfire out of now where. If we turn it off and let it sit for a while, It will start up and drive normal, and after a bit, it'll repeat the process. We've managed to limp it home, but its still weird. I just got her new injectors and we're going to get the car re-tuned but need to solve this before getting on the dyno. Just did a quick search and found it may be the CAS sensor overheating? I don't have a laptop with megatune or tuner studio anymore unforuntately

You need to get a laptop with tuner studios.
I would switch out to new spark plugs and lower the gap on them a bit to see if that helps. CAS usually don't over heat and go bad, usually it is the cam sensors on nb's that have that issue.

Failed to mention she has a COP conversion. I do have a new set of coils to swap in from my mr2s spyder. (same as the corolla) and i'll try that. Didn't know if the Cam issue was isolated to NB vs all 1.8
