Hello,

Im getting ready to install my new FPR, it came with no instructions heres a picture of one just like it to help me get my point across.



heres a picture of a 1.8l oem fpr with my personal editing to point out what im getting to.

Alright so the inlet on the bottom of the regulator is were the fuel sending hose goes.

the one on the top right is were the hose goes from regulator to fuel rail via adapter flange.

there is another hose coming from the side of the oem fuel pressure regulator. were does that get plumbed too?

there is a vaccum line looking port on the top of the reg, and a port which im pretty sure the gauge goes in.

so what do i do?

how am i supposed to plumb this thing? please help

Sides are fuel in. Bottom is fuel return.

I think the bottom is the inlet.

That would be weird. "Normally" in a reg like that there are two inlets and 1 outlet, and a gauge port which is also connected to the inlets. Outlet goes back to the tank, inlet(s) go to the fuel rail(s).

Bottom back to fuel tank (the return out of the rail). Side connect to the rail where the stock regulator used to be with the piece that is included. Looks like the aeromotive regulator.

OP: You have a megasquirt, why the hell are you fooling around with a FPR? Just go buy proper injectors already. There is a set of Denso RX8 425cc injectors in the classifieds right now for $125, that'll get you started.

its not made by ebay douche bag. my stock fpr is fucked up.and the hoses need be replaced, alot of things in my engine bay are over 20 years old and why not get one from Majesty they have great reviews and are better and cheaper than getting an oem one from mazda for 170$

How did you **** up your stock fpr? And why didnt you just post a wtb for a stock one? Someone would have give you one for $10.

The stock fpr is 200k miles old, its only sending 20psi, and twitching. The fuel lines are dried out and wearing away, the kit comes with new steel braided line and an fittings.
Does the stock one rise in pressure like a rising rate fpr?

Does the stock fpr have a vacuum reference?

Even if so, it won't rise with boost because well... was your car turbo from factory?

Car is not turbo i am naturally aspirated,
Built motor headers ms pnp, and i have a vaccum gauge, do i need to keep that tapped in on my vaccum line constantly? That does not sound safe having fuel regulator attached to a vaccum line that goes to a gauge in my cab
