Seriously, anyone who hasn't experienced summer south of the Mason/Dixon line can kick rocks. 2 summers ago I was driving an '89 190E with no A/C and fake MB leather seats...I nearly died. Nothing like showing up to work at 8 AM with the back of your shirt soaked with sweat.

yeah, unfortunately i think your only option is to go top-mount or directly out to the side, which makes your downpipe routing much less palatable.
though, i wonder if you could have a similar setup but push the turbo back further... under the shelf. i don't have my car within 30 miles of me at the moment, else i'd take a look and see if i'm imagining a space that isn't there... i very well may be...

Top mount or an S4 design are probably my only to options. The dp with the S4 should be cake to make. Hell, I bet my current dp could be modified to work with it. And I don't run PS you it could probably be made to go a bit lower to alloy the dp to be straighter.

S4/GT2871 works with the A/C compressor. That is what I am using.
It helps to get the PS pump out of the way using the stock idler pulley/bracket setups, also what I am doing (It made room for a huge 90 deg silicone elbow. The anti-surge compressor housing has a huge inlet, 4" dia IIRC). That creates more clearance for the turbo inlet plumbing. It is not completely necessary though. I think BEGI uses a dimpled steel tube with a sharp 90 deg upturn to clear the PS pump though I do not know how large of a turbo they have done that with. I remember discussing it with Steph but that was a couple of years ago.
The turbine outlet ends up sitting very low in the engine bay so the DP will be easier to mod/fab.

What kind of power and spool difference do you guys think I would see going from my current setup to an S4 design?
