With thinking of an AN-line to connect the two sump parts, why not an AN-line from the oil pump to the pickup?

The AN-line connecting the sump parts would need to go below the rack, that's pretty low.

Our initial idea was using a -16 AN line, but the concern was that any soft line could potentially collapse on itself since oil is being sucked through it. The hard steel pickup will be safer, cheaper (eventually), and the material will mirror every OEM pickup we’ve seen.

We are not concerned with the pump priming, as nearly the entire pickup will be submerged in oil anyway.

Hard line is probably cheaper to manufacture, but I don't think the oil pump will suck an AN line closed. Look at pretty much every dry sump system in existence for proof of that.

I don't believe you will have any issues with the oil pump pick up routing as you have it. Cant remember the Ford small block that had this same oil pan design to clear the steering rack but it must be the 5.0 Mustang and that was a factory design.

sadly it was only 2.5" (if that, maybe smaller) with a full cat, res, and muffler. It's been proven over and over that 3" is needed for even a stock k20 or k24.

So, ebay exhaust with random pieces off other cars, hacked up ebay header, and random 2.75" intake pipe I found in my garage with a crappy filter. Proper setup will breath MUCH better up top, as I can tell you from my other K car.

PS - I enjoy driving on track with your old blue hatch on occasion...

I have my old custom 3" exhaust that Jeremy put together for my setup you could use. Vibrant muffer, magnaflow (i think) resonator. If you didn't want its unique center exit format, would just be a bit of cut/weld to complete.

Cheap... and old Jabaay fabwork.

Uses this muffler: http://vibrantperformance.com/catalo...products_id=14

I miss running with you guys. I'll be back at it in couple years though, most likely in a Miata of that color, and with this motor Glad you get to see it driven in anger!

Any ballpark insider info on future pricing? Or an idea of when this might be available?

This is actually becoming pretty common. F20/22's are hard to come by, and the aftermarket isn't quite as vast for them.

Junkyard k24 setup in an s2000 with boost sounds like a winning combo to me. Cheap shortblocks for when it goez boom.
