Default Long cranking after evap canister delete

Removed evap canister, lines, and purge valve yesterday, and looped the metal lines together with a hose. Not sure what the one line is, but im assuming the other one goes to the tank like any normal evap system. After I did this, ive noticed a significantly longer cranking time when the car is cold. WTF is the other line? The write up I went by to remove the canister said to loop the lines.
