Default NB2 CAS Reluctor Ring Movement

I searched everywhere and haven't found anyone with this issue. We have a 2004 Motor with roughly 24k miles. about 1.5k from track only use. We have now replaced the intake cam twice with the same issue. The reluctor ring for the CAS has moved both times. the original cam reluctor ring moved .130. The second ring moved .100 (roughly 100k miles on this one). With this movement my megasquirt loses sync with the CAS and the engine dies.

We moved both rings back using heat and a brass hammer using the specs from a new OEM cam from Mazdaspeed Motorsports. We are thinking to tac weld the ring to the cam.

My Question(s): Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone see an issue with tac welding the reluctor ring to the cam?

It is not an unheard of problem and there has been some discussion on this forum about it. Some of the issues were attributed to extended periods of time on the rev limiter. This maybe because the folks running CSP auto-x trim were reporting the issue and they are known to spend some time on the limiter. A tack weld or two would work. I think a few people suggested cross drilling and added a roll pin/dowel. @Leafy I think did some work on his old motor to fix the reluctor ring.
