Default New Intake Manifold

I just thought that I would post up my build pics since I typically rarely post my pics on mt.net

Engine is finally in. ETD H-beam rods, Weisco +1mm, amazing port and polish, Supertech +1mm valves, Supertech Dual Valve Springs with Titanium retainers, balanced crank, Webcam 505 Grind, Fidanza Cam gears, Fidanza 1.6 Flywheel, ACT 6-puck clutch plate with HD pressure plate.

Here is the Flipside Customs intake manifold that is now welded with a 5.0 TB flange. There will be more build up pics on their website soon. This manifold is not complete. On the underside it is getting all the vacuum nipples I need for my setup. It is also going to get a throttle cable bracket on the underside. It still needs to be blasted and it will get black thermal coating to match the valve cover and boost tubes. Its going to be cleaner than Knight Rider. I cannot wait till everything is finished. Rob has been amazing throughout this whole process. This drastically reduces boost path volume compared to stock. Cant wait to see throttle response when the blower is setup.

BTW, sorry guys, this engine build is for a custom built 1.6l M62 Supercharger build.

Awsome! Dont know what kind of power it will make, but it will look bad *** doing it. Black valve cover and intake manifold will look great. What kind of intake setup are you planning (if thats not asking too much)?

PS, always forget how big a Miata bay is until you see it with a naked engine in it.

Deleted for the whiners who can't take an effin joke despite the fact that %75 of the threads here are worthless.

It was the perfect semi hijack moment to show that after 3 months of practically nothing, I'm finally moving forward.

Apologies to the OP.

Alright, Flipside Customs Intake Manifold is complete. Here is the final pic with a wrinkle coat. It looks amazing and I hope I will generate the 20 ponies other M62 users have gotten from a IM and TB upgrade. There is some awesome details on this IM, I love the Throttle bracket mounted on the underside of the IM. I also like the vacuum lines underneath.

Are the runners flush and radiused at the plenum OR raised above the plenum surface? Internal pics? Is the coating for looks only? No doubt there's some power in that massive plenum.
