Default new member - 1.6 super charger installed on a 1.8?

Hi All,
I'm a new member to the forum with a stock 99 miata sport package. Also, tech coordinator of the DC area Mazda club...
My question has to do with installing a roots type Eaton M45 supercharger on our 99 that was once installed on a 91 or 92 Miata. I've had it in boxes for awhile and would like to do the install. Some of the extras are intercoolers and other add ons. Does anyone have any experience with doing this? if it won't work then trade it for one that will fit?
Thanks

Wow, this kind of welcome from a senior member? You are an unpleasant one. Is this forum as unwelcoming as this?

Yes you can, and here's how. First take the supercharger and set it pulley up. Slather the top with a full tube of KY jelly, and shove that sucker up your ***. Why? Because as rccote so eloquently pointed out, your acting like a princess. You didn't search, posted in the incorrect section and got butt-hurt when fairly kindly corrected. If you want to know how to install your supercharger in your car, I suggest you do some research (use google), come back (or go to M.net where they have a hard-on for superchargers and spoon feeding) and post in the right section so people can help you out.

I wanted to know if it was worth playing with this supercharger thing or not. I would rather go straight to a turbo and not bother with this other unit but wanted to see if there was any reason to try it. Most turbo people have a good deal of knowledge on various systems.
The 'home boy' wasn't necessary, neither would the term 'butt wipe' or '*** licker'.
I did look around the place and thought this might be the best way to ask as you guys might have experience both ways. It's not a basic question as this system would have had to have been hacked and mod-ed quite a bit for an attempt.

If I where you I'd sell sell the thupercharger and go turbo, and start a intro thread if you haven't already done so.

Since I am used to spoon feeding, I will bite. Type in www.miataturbo.net, then scroll down. There is something called random supercharger chat.

Clicking that will take you here.

https://www.miataturbo.net/supercharger-discussion-38/

Or we can let Hustler post his link to miatasupercharger.net.

Sell it, buy a used BEGi S series + MegaSquirt

No, seriously.

The head unit is the same but all the mounting crap, tubes, pulleys etc are different IIRC. The 1.6 M45 kits are completely out of production and still plenty of people looking for them, you should have no problem selling it on m.net. I sold my new-in-box 99/00 M45 JRSC for top dollar and saved up to buy something else (don't buy a Rotrex...) that would actually make power and has (had) an upgrade path.
