Default Na1.6 headgasket??

i was wondering on which head gasket would be best for use with turbo a Na 1.6L? i see Hks makes one and so does Cometic.. Hks makes 2 that i know of 1.2mm thick and 2mm thick, where cometics is .040"= 1.016mm.. since im keeping the bottom end stock. and just getting the head flow matched and valves angled & resurfaced."not shaved" i tried searching for a post which could answer my questions, but didn't have any luck. and info would be greatly appreciated

why would you not use a metal head gasket and lower compresson for a turbo set up? rather a stock gasket?

I would not because the stock one works fine. Aftermarket MLS gaskets are too sensitive to shipping and handling damage becasue of that are often prone to fail before you even put it on the car. I'll change compression with pistons.

If you did alot of searches, and didn't find many results that should be a hint that the stock one is fine.

well im not changing out pistons.. thats why i was going to use a thicker head gasket to get the compresson lower to about 8.4-8.7 which is the range you want for turbo application. to much comresson can be bad on stock internals.
