Spal Fans killing engine
I installed a new FM crossflow this weekend with their shroud complete with two big Spal fans. Drove the car to work today and if I am idling when the fan kicks in the amp draw is stalling the engine. Maybe this should be in the tuning section but is there anything I can do to prevent this?
FWIW, the FM Crossflow (Griffin) is a sweet piece. Expensive but really nice.

This happens on my AEM as well with the two 12" silicone intakes fans. I've come down to basically discovering that my tune under 850rpms is too lean and when the fans kicked on they would pull the idle that low and on the low I would just see the last two data points before rpm = 0 to be the car shooting lean. Added a bit more fuel and now it almost never stalls at idle. I really wish the AEM had the ability to idle up when the fans kicked on.

.... Caspers Electronics, relay delay module No.109086. Just saw this post.It has to be wired in series with the coil. Gives about 5 second delay for your second fan. I have been having the same problem. The delay does work for the fan but, I have a pretty high idle tuned in to compensate and have not tuned it since I put in the delay. I will have to let you know how much it eally helps.
