Default going to get my a$$ ripped for this question

Well took my block apart all the way today and what do i find bent rods. i guess that's better then snapped rods. so i started to think because i only want to make 300whp i wanted to know if the lower comp pistons from the 94 to 97 miata would work in the 99 miata block. so if it is possible let me know and if you know any one selling some 94-97 miata pistons and rods that would be great.

As about Thirty people told me.
Search.
Lol.
Im sure those pistons will handle the power goal.
As far as fitment, As long as its the same bore and displacement, I dont see why not. And as far as me knowing anyone who has some, Well... This is the wrong section for that, search in the For Sale.

Its funny because, I got my *** drilled because I didn something wrong, not knowing I did something wrong. But you, your title is " I know im gonna get my *** drilled " You KNOW you are going to, yet, you ask anyways =]

How'd the rods get bent in the first place?

I don't know about the pistons, but keep in mind that Cr is not determined by piston dome/dish alone, the cc of the head comes into play along with the thickness of the headgasket.

Yes. The bore diameter of all 1.8 Miata engines is the same, and the wrist pin interface is also compatible.

Others have adequately covered the many other variables in play.

Let me know if you need rods.. We have them in stock and ready to ship

Welcome to M-Tuned.com 2.0 - Miata Rods

You should be fine with our rods and stock pistons. I've got a lot of customers who have done just that.

Thats heavy detonation, plastic compression deformation caused by extreme pressure on the piston crown. Over rev is always plastic elongation deformation. Looks like playdoe when you pull it apart. I'd slap some new stock rods back in there if you are not going for extreme R.P.M. An aftermarket rod in that case would not have made a difference. Think of it this way. You had 3 pistons making power and another spitting fire on your tubine blade for spooling. Its a feature, rock it out.

Ya i was getting mad boost crapp on wastegate 10psi 7psi wastegate and i was spoolin by 2600 7psi and 3000 the 10psi and the turbo started to glow red with out getting on the gas and when i added fuel just ran shitty so i did a comp test and found cyl1 had 115psi and the rest had 180 and i had a bad exhaust valve in cyl 1.

Thought I'd make this readable.

Reminds me of how we used to tune cars in highschool. When it glows bright red that means you add fuel right???!!! No insult intended just reminded me of the good ole days.

Does this forum look like an AIM client? Learn to spell and stop using stupid text speak. It's difficult to read and annoying.
