Default Hondata intake manifold gasket

Where the hell do I find one of these things for a 1.6? If I had a Honda, I'd be set.

replace hondata with "phenolic" and you'll have instant success.

Thanks for the help guys, but that didn't really help the search.

- eBay turned up nothing
- Google turned up lots, but nothing for the 1.6.
- When using "miata" in a search on google, lots of forum posts come up about gasket info, no places to buy.

Hondata Intake Manifold Gaskets from HorsepowerFreaks

it was like the third damn result when I searched for "phenolic intake gasket 1.6 miata". Fourth result if you use "hondata intake gasket 1.6 miata".

I just dont see this thing adding any significant power or anything. I mean on a n/a high revving honda engine maybe a teeny bit, but on a turbo miata, I just dont see it being worth the money/trouble

Yeah, they don't help much. I wouldn't change it.

Instant success for....one result.

Was just feeling around for other options. Thanks.

Edit: Got a PM for a better deal too. Found my gasket, close thread. \

no, going to leave it open because of your vague question that didn't specify you didn't want the hondata version...

I didn't say that.

The one I will be purchasing is actually the Hondata piece.

I realize you found it, but any hondata dealer can get them (so most tuning shops). I had one, and didn't notice any difference at all.

If the guy that PM'd me about the piece doesn't get back to me I'll probably just let it slide and put an OEM one on.

Well, I hope he gets back to you before you decide not to get it. I hate not getting stuff after I get my hopes up about it.

If you're gonna go to the trouble of buying one of these, at least buy one like this that blocks off the coolant passages:

eBay Motors: 89-93 Mazda Miata Xtreme Intake Manifold Gasket NEW (item 350167539869 end time Mar-19-09 00:29:36 PDT)

On the 90 - 93, at least on my two intake manifolds, the coolant passage is blocked off by the manifold.... so it really doesn't do anything.

Already got the Hondata piece installed. But I am with dustin, the big passage is already blocked on my manifold. Only the small round passage in the front is open. Plus it feeds the IAC, so I'm going to leave it.

If you ever want to do some manifold / head work, the hondata gasket is much larger then stock, and you can port match to that gasket. I did that one an intake manifold, and was going to do the head, but then I blew up my motor.
