Default Does this VVT cam look ok?

I'm taking apart a vvt head for inspection prior to a rebuild. The vvt intake cam is scored where it would rest on the bearing. But the bearing itself is ok. Is this normal?

What should the clearance be from the intake cam to the bearing surface on the I1 cam?

Clean the rust off it to get a better look, you could always measure it if you don't like what you see.
