Default Turbo loud and idle low

I finished upgrading my ms3 and got my car to idle with my new 1000cc injectors. All was well. I could rev up to 3k no problem and was idling shy of 1k.

I took a shower then came back to go for a spin and it had a tough time starting. I had to help it and during the help the turbo sounds bad. Sounds like it's missing some lubrication. It'll idle after a little warmup help but it idles like 500rpm. If I give it some gas it is very apparent it's missing oil or something. If I don't ease it to idle it dies.

Tomorrow I'll check my oil feed and sandwich plate. Anyone else have any advice? I'm so bummed I was excited to tune :(

My motor is pretty fresh with around 5k on it. Better not be my oil be oil pump.

Any knocking sound you hear is not from the motor it's my air filter banging it's head on the fender well during idle at like ~450rpm. My oil pressure gauge is between 60-90psi during all of this and I never revved over 2500krpm

I figured it out. Thanks Scary. Maybe some other time.

Because of the way the car was firing it was causing an odd vacuum. I would set the timing and then I could start the car but after I turned it off I could not start properly again until I changed the timing again even if it were a slightly different timing value. I reloaded the firmware to 1.3 and it didn't fix it. I then loaded 1.2.4 and set my timing again. Now it idles and drives well. Off to emissions i go tomorrow.

I think it was just too windy to hear well. It has been stupid windy the last few days. The turbo sounded like it was being oil starved... I checked shaft play and it was fine... Opened up my waste gate and it still struggled. So I changed the timing and it started right up. Restarted my car and back to struggling.... Messed with that for a bit then reloaded firmware.... Same problem. loaded the previous firmware version and it worked. Anyway. That's over with.

Pretty frustrating to troubleshoot when it's a setting you've already set. I can't really explain why the turbo sounded so horrible but it sounded all kinds of bad.

edit: phone typo

It did not sound like that at all.

Once I put an oil restrictor on my turbo. It sounded similar to the noise I heard. I took it off and it went away. Cool story right bro? I'm really glad it doesn't sound like yours though because I'd like my turbo to last until TSE's kit is available so yeah...

I think I was grasping at straws a little as well cause I couldn't explain any of it. It really was driving me nuts. I even had a dream about it Sunday night. I couldn't understand how it could run so well and then just stop. I'm guessing others are running 1.3 fine so I'm going to give it another go. 3rd time better be a charm!
