Default Which intake manifold?

I have an '01 LS that I am going to be supercharging with a JRSC M45 kit. I happen to have a '94-'97 intake manifold kicking around and couldn't help but notice the difference in manifold volume.

So here's my silly question. Would the older manifold bolt up and work correctly on an '01+ VVT head, including the EGR? Would the smaller intake volume be of any noticable benefit (reducing throttled volume) on a supercharged miata?

Bolt up: Yes
Work: Not at all

The ports are higher up, relative to the bolt holes, on the 99+

We'll see, I may end up with an MP62, but not an air to air intercooler, nothing against them, have had several turbo cars with air to air IC, but I will avoid the throttled volume and stay with liquid to air for the SC. Reducing throttled volume was the only reason I was curious about the '94-'97 intake manifold, I figured if it worked it would be a cheap, easy way to do that

I'm using a Hydra so I'll be able to log air intake temps, so i can verify that it works as well as I think.....or not, lol.
