Cool ACL Race Bearing Inventory - BACK IN STOCK!

Alright guys - we've recently been contacted by a number of engine manufacturers looking for ACL bearings. There seems to be a shortage (with quite a long ETA) and we have a few sets left (8 complete sets total)!

We also stock the Mazda larger thrust washers for those building 01-05 blocks.

We now have them back in stock! This morning we opened up a stocking order from them with 25 sets of main bearings. They are now enabled on the site and shipping same day.

Do you expect the shortage to happen again at some point?

Nobody saw it coming last time and they were gone for 10 months or so. I can't really predict what the company might do from here on out, I just know we are stocked up on them and more are on order. We sold 9 sets of them yesterday.

Literally days after I ordered the Kings. Either way I'm sure they work great.

The plant in Australia shutting down was the cause of the inventory issues.

When I spoke with the ACL USA folks at PRI I was told there is no reason to believe there will be another shortage anytime soon.

^^ What he said, they ran into financial issues a few years back and it's been questionable weather or not the company was going to survive. Glad to hear they've made some changes and are back on their feet.

If you ordered them form us I don't mind swapping them out. However based on the quality control, precision measurement system used and a harder material (great for the forged BP cranks) used by King I feel they are a better tri-metal bearing than the ACL but the internet is responsible for the current preference in the BP community. Either way you won't have problems with each bearings.

On that same note, King is not the best when it comes to inventory management themselves. We've seen a number of shortages in the past few months.

If I have understood correctly ACL went broke a number of years ago, but ran under administrators for long a time while a buyer was sought. Hence the spotty supply.

ACL USA have purchased some of the machines and taken on some of the staff, to make a selected range. Supply should be ok from now.

B6 here =/

I'm sure they are great. Its just that I waited months to order internals because no bearings were around. Then I found you guys had the Kings. So I'm still stoked to use them!
