Default Performance Engine Mounts - NOW IN STOCK!

There is something to be said about getting in a car that feels firm. It gives you a sense of confidence and quality in the car you're driving. These mounts drastically improve on Mazda's original equipment. The re-designed mount literally takes a whole new direction when dealing with torque. If you're the weekend Auto X type, expect more predictable shifting. If you're in a boosted configuration, expect less drivetrain slop or that feeling of wheel hop that occurs when your factory mounts allow your drivetrain to flex and "bounce" back into place under heavy loads.

All the way around this is one of the more noticeable improvements to the way your car feels. We've personally destroyed 3 sets of OE and Mazda Speed mounts on our NB Miata and as usual, we're now offering our customers something that we trust.

Fairly certain that's for a different application.

The picture above yours shows the proper two locating pegs for the use in the miata chassis, going from the block to the subframe. Neat stuff.

How do these feel in regards to NVH? I am running the mazda-comp mounts but honestly they seem like they let me motor move around way too much. I am just afraid of really making my car miserable vibration wise.

This mount is for the NC Miata. But you have the right idea. The NA and NB don't have quite as much room so the entire mounting plate is replaced too.

I personally ran the Mazda Comp mounts and couldn't tell the difference. These are certainly a jump in strength.

The NVH is upped with that but I wouldn't say unreasonably. Unfortunately you can't avoid it if you want to reduce the play, it's just the nature of the beast. That being said - I'd run the 70d mounts in my car even if I were daily driving it and I'm not the type who want's to put up with a loud exhaust and mirrors that I can't use at idle.

So in short, yes the NVH is increased but it's nothing like running solid mounts or even the straight through puck style mounts.

I've had these mounts with the 70 durometer bushings for about a year and I love them. They start out very stiff but mellow out over time. I also have the diff bushings and the combo definitely allows you to put the power down.

Thank you for chiming in with your feedback.

Most customers don't consider the things they put at risk when they have mounts that allow too much movement. Even things like your turbo manifold, down pipe, PPF brace, sometimes even stress on wiring. I couldn't be happier with this mount solution. I've tried Solid, Mazda Competition Mounts, Stock... These are all the way around the best solution.

-The solid mounts are just bad engineering for a street car, you're asking for trouble.
-The Mazda Comp mounts were destroyed in 4 months and frankly, didn't feel any difference over the OE mounts.
-Stock almost always ends up coming out in two pieces

The mounts we sell change the direction of the bushing and properly deal with the torque while still allowing enough travel to keep everything happy. Remember if you've done your diff bushings you're adding stress to your engine mounts and vice versa. That energy is simply absorbed by the next weakest link. (if you do both, that is added energy to your wheels) This theory is more evident in FWD vehicles like Honda's - You'd throw one Hasport mount in a car and weeks later the other mounts would fall apart. The Miata suffers the same, just on a smaller scale because there are other components in between the diff and engine to take some of the beating.

I'm at 150mi of the 500mi break-in on the 70Ds and I think they are starting to get better. Everything I read when researching these said to reserve judgement until they are broken in, and I'm starting to believe that. The only thing that's really getting to me is the deathrattle coming from somewhere in the front of my car at idle. I think it may be the TSE brake duct backing plates but I'm not 100% sure on that. I need to figure out exactly what it is and how to mitigate it.

Don't get me wrong, these are god damn glorious when driving the car in anger. Currently running 70D + MazdaComp differential mounts and I get almost zero movement in the shifter.
