For reference... my shipping was like $28 from Weir-tech. That was the 3 flanges and 5 weld els. My guess is, it's mostly just the box size and the weight doesn't factor into it too much. My whole order was like $90 or something close and then I had to order a foot of straight pipe from Ace stainless because for some reason Weir doesn't carry the stuff.

I shipped a 24 by 18 by 6 box the other day... 10 bucks to ny from my location... NY is 300 miles further from me than KS.

My guess is they are stuffing some green in their pocket from shipping cost.

most likely. probably uses usps which is why weight doesn't matter as much as location

I have a little over half of the flange drawn in CAD right now and ran down a few CNC Machine companies. More to come.

I was kinda being sarcastic, not sure you could even get the 304 stock that thick for $20. Honestly, I'd be down for a couple depending on price, mild or SS.

The build has officially begun. This stainless welds really nice once I got used to this super thick pipe.

Stein: Turbo flanges are too easy to come by for now, my main focus is getting this cylinder head flange out there and affordable..

I understand, but if I'm paying shipping for a turbo flange and then paying separate shipping for a head flange I don't see much opportunity for savings when weir tech is already at $28 and $12 + ship.
