Default looking for easytherm files

Ive been having this problem previously stated in a different post but my warmup enrichment will not turn off until 200F instead of 165 and Im using the gm AIT sensor and factory coolant sensor and Im a retard and dont know how to use easytherm? so does anyone have an accurate easytherm file with hi-res 10g??? I guess Im asking for the right thing?

Here you go.

The attached .s19 file is HR10g, EasyThermed for full standalone operation, with GM IAT and '90-'93 CLT, both with 2490 bias values.

The three .inc files go into C:\Program Files\MegaSquirt\MegaTune2.25\mtCfg\

*****.
Attached Files
File Type: zip
msns-extra_mod.zip (34.2 KB, 70 views)

Yes, it matters. Throw those files away...

What's your situation regarding R7?

your board has no R7. who reflashed it to 10g? did I, I can't remember.

If the board wasn't initially flashed with the correct easytherm values it will never read/output correctly.

1450 bias (rx7 defaults) should be used for the AIT and 2490 (gm defaults) for the CLT.

Yet the files that Joe created are opposite. 2490 for AIT, 1450 for CLT. Which is correct for parallel? It's been too long. Plus Brain has rx7 and gm reversed.

Edit: I'm thinking 2490 for IAT if the gm sensor is wired directly to the MS.

for a 90-93 parallel setup, with both sensors being shared, and R7 installed i use:
1450 ohm for the AIT & 1280 ohm for the CLT

For a 90-93 parallel setup, with both sensors being shared, and R7 removed I use:
1450 ohm for the AIT & 2625 ohm for the CLT

For a 90-93 parallel setup, with both sensors being shared, and R7 and R4 removed I use:
3475 for AIT and 2625 for CLT

For a 90-93 standalone setup I use:
2490 for both.

Would have done it like the first one, i have the .inc files provided here: Index of /MS/msq/Therm Files/16L_piggy

sounds like, from his other post, that the temps are pretty spot on...

looking at the inc file in his directory they aren't right.
and didn't his post say 37/38 when the temp hadn't gone below the mid 40's here all day?

plus he has been using the AFM for temperature.

i just forwarded you what he sent me, supposedly his working directory.

hey i just found this thread, htanks for looking into my stuff guys

It still is all screwed up hehehe... In the meantime i've pulled off the AFM and i'm using the GM IAT thru the AFM's harness.

My CLT temps look good (192-200+ going back and forth) but my IATs are a little weird, they go pretty high, like 120+ degrees just driving around.

My AFRs are still jumping all around depending on CLT and IAT temp, but I can't get any results with the "Coolant Related Air Density" window under "Advanced".

So, quick question -- I found a couple of people saying you need to edit the msns-extra.ini file and change it to "use the mat instead of clt".. I did that, but haven't tried it yet. Can someone explain how changing something in the msns-extra.ini will affect how the MS itself will behave? I thought the msns-extra.ini impacted the way megatune operated.. does this ini file somehow get sent down to the MS??

you have no intercooler. those are normal AIT temps.

i believe you thinking is correct about the .ini file. all it does is allow you to see the MAT gauge instead of the clt gauge. otherwise if you turn the corrections to CLT or AIT through MT that's effectively the same thing as changing the .ini file.

remember you're still in warmup mode under 160*F CLT temps...

:*( I drove to work today, maybe 50 degrees F outside... My IAT was up to 125.. You're saying that's normal?

Can you post your IAT /CLT corrections table? I'm curious what you're running, becuase i already had to rescale my max to 200, not 150 and i think that's still not quite enough..

Also -- Are there any gauges i can use in MT that will tell me the various corrections (i know about EGO gauge and warmup enrichment), i mean more like... MAT based and CLT based, so i can kinda get an idea of what's happening?

Gamma Enrichments shows your total enrichments.

I remember tuning an N/A setup, it saw over 150*F on a nice warm day. The best cue is a cold motor that sat overnight, both the AIT and CLT should match perfectly in the morning.

My AIT based-enrichments table wont look anything like yours needs to be; my intake temps stay ambient and my sensor doesn't heatsoak; I remove fuel when my intake temps are over 95*F. The 9093 MSPNP basemap is a good example of how to set up the table.

Also depending on what setup the MS was flashed for in the first place, the temps could be way off, especially since you just changed the AIT sensor without reflashing the firmware with new values.

If you tell me your exact setup (i cant remember worth a dime); piggy back or standalone, GM AIT through harness or AFM/MAF, model year I could get you a new firmwar file and .onc files to try and see if that improves corrects your readings.

Scott,

Thanks for getting back. I'll give the gamma-e a shot.

Regarding my setup:
1991 / 1.6L, Begi-S, stock injectors, piggy back, GM AIT through harness, afm deleted.

Then these files should be the ones for you.

Index of /MS/msq/Therm Files/16L_piggy/hr_10g

you can reflash it with the .s19 file if you want to make sure it's correct. do you need instructions on how to do so?
