Brain, lets get graphs of the top 3 or so HP producers overlayed on each other so it's easier to compare our curves??? Please Please Please?

Wow. Looks like Paul, Airbrush, and Peter are doing something right by their flat torque curves at higher RPMs where most fall off. Nice numbers guys. Paul, I envy you. I want that kind of power this summer. Your still running a stock motor too. Airbrush, your running the turbo I want. Sending you PM.

WTF is up with that dip in my curve. Damnit. I didn't see that on the dyno. Looks like another dyno day in the near future.

a lot of the other guys were experiencing boost drop toward redline and conflicting circumstances failed to let them correct this issue. Be it no ebc or spraying oil or slipping clutches or small exhausts.

I'm gonna go ahead and say the midrange and redline dips are timing probably. Though I'm curious if the "no dip at redline" guys are all running no cats. I know airbrush isn't running one.

This may be the most incredible miata dyno plot I've ever seen. Paul, this is just a stock 99 engine, 2560, BEGi IM, megasquirt, absurdflow bottom mount, and straight exhaust? Is the BEGi IM the only change you've made since your previous dyno? Because I see 30 more hp w/o the dip in low/mid torque I was expecting from that mani.

yeah, that torque curve is a freak of nature 3500 rpm over 225ftlbs. I wonder when the hp was going to start falling...

I do run a cat. a metalcore cat, same one Tim runs. With the BEGi intake mani came the 70mm throttle body too. I also installed a duel feed fuel rail and 550s but I wasn't having fueling issues before. The engine is a stock 99, bottom and head. Oh, and boost. I've had in my signature that my last dyno was ~14psi but that was just a guess since my dumb *** didn't log during the runs. This time I did log and my max boost was 15.5. I am running the same EBC settings so I was probably around that boost level before. I guess that BEGi disco potato 2001 car at 13psi is a better tune than me.

This is still running the same timing map as I ran the last time too. I didn't get a chance to try out the y8s/diy hybrid map i made because i was having serious tuning issues after the install. VE Analyzer was useless because I was getting a spiky AFR reading. I was ******* with the car will like 11pm on friday and then up at 5am saturday cleaning off grounds and rewiring the EBC solenoid. Still haven't come up with a fix for it but I did discover it only occurs while at WOT and I only go WOT for tuning. That discovery was while we were in route to the dyno so I did 2 - 3 logs and didn't let the car go past 85% throttle. That eliminated the spiky AFR signal and I was able to get a good tune.

I know my sig says it still but I don't run a MSPNP anymore on this car. I moved that to my daily driver since that car has AC. I run a HiRes MSI standalone built by Chad. Signature correction coming soon...

At 8.99 psi the car made 246/187. I'll post the graph below. Thats with the EBC turned OFF(i installed a switch). The power comes on too gradually for me, woulda been a steeper slope if we hadn't ported the wastegate opening back in Dec I guess but this does make the car more drivable in the wet though and comes in handy when the girlfriend drives it.

I have the FM midpipe/CAT and an old 2.5 speeder hung on the end.
This run made 10.9psi at 6200 by the wastegate.

Can anyone explain the dip at the end of my powercurve?
It was not my right foot!
knock sensor output was very low (about half the limit.)

Pete.

Looking at these runs it looks like my 200hp target should be 250

my setup: greddy turbo, stripes "small fmic", tony 2.5" dp, 2.5" test pipe, 2.75" enuthuza catback. mspnp, 620cc injectors, my first run was 230rwhp but only got worse the more i tinkered with it...15psi tapering to 12 at redline, the drf file is in the ones posted. last time at the same dyno i did 244 rwhp but boost was holding 15psi all the way through. if i get my boost fixed i should be 250+.
