Default Need for Speed Shift PS3

Of course the first thing I do in this game is gather enough scratch to make my game miata as close to the real one in the garage as possible. Surprisingly the car in the game handles much like my car did a barber. I brake at the same point (~ sign number 2.5) into the corner, and the car balance feels the same. Game physics is getting better and better.

Whether or not you could use a game to decide what kind of car you were going to buy next? I don't know. If yes, then a lotus would be lots of fun. I can also see why people like the S2000. The S2000 is superb right up to the point that it isn't. You would feel like a pro in an S2000 with R comps until you were scraping yourself off a wall because you didn't realize you were driving on the edge.

Ok, now that I'm a real life pro since I've played a game, I'm gonna go back to my game.

All in all it's good fun and I recommend game.

Anyone else have any comments

It was a load of fun until my 8800 gts decided to fry. The driving line thing is kinda cheap and the whole 'trading paint' aggressive bullshit is pretty arcady but all in all it really is a great game. GT5 is still going to smash it though.

HAHA, you sound like you've raced an S2000. The race team I work for is fielding three s2000s at the SCCA runoffs in the T3 class as we speak. I think all of the drivers would agree with your description. They say the car's great, right until the high speed snap oversteer...

That is quite funny. I was racing into a corner (in the game) , everything was great, then back end swung around out of nowhere.

I've never even sat in a real S2000

I think it's an 08 miata.

I agree, GT5 will be where it's at. My wife cringed when I said I was going to buy one of those steering wheel setups and a special seat to attach it.

I heard the mention of Willow being a race track in SHIFT. IS this Willow Springs that they are referring? It would be kinda of neat to take some virtual laps around a track that forum members are actually racing.

Anyway, good times

Overall the game is really good. I was expecting cops and chases and all that since its a NFS game. But I actually really like the closed course setup. Oh and if you buy the game and are on this forum.......you HAVE to start with a Miata or ban. Mine(in game) hangs with all the big boys cuz of my corner speed.

GAY! I don't care what they change, the NFS franchise is forever tarnished with gayness. The other 20 games they have made in the last 5 years have all been complete shit. However, if I didn't sell my PS3 GT5 would be on my list. Forza 3 is less than a month away! That will be a good game. Shift is like all of the others, more about show and the look of the game. Cars don't feel real to me, a bit on the arcade side.

I can't do it. They would have to animate Megan Fox naked in the passenger seat to make me play it, and even then I would only barely want to play it. Or I would just park the car and look.

If i have money left over after my turbo install, i will buy this game.. i have a G25 steering wheel, 6 speed shifter 3 pedals and a racing seat setup in front of my pc and on top of that the stuff is in the same location like its in my miata It pisses me off when people install the steering wheel on the desk and that wheel is a foot off forward while the pedals are on the floor and you look like you are driving a truck and then the shifter is on a shelf 3 feet away.

EH live for speed... not really, physics are quite crappy when you add weight transfer especially when speeding up.

Forza3 would probably be pretty good physics-wise. I thought Forza2 was even pretty well done. When it comes out i'll rape all. I challenge anyone getting it

You can't handle me mofo. I'm actually ready to see how the crash physics have changed aside from the rollover. In 2 I get bored racing and get in a rear engine car and use the ass of the car to bump people off the track and into barriers. Will be even more fun to watch AI wreck and roll over.

I even forgot that they were adding rollover to this one. I hope people on live arent as douchey as on forza2. I always hated when I would be in a huge lead and a dumbass would come backwards and hit me head on because he couldnt drive with collisions on

NFS Willow is Willows Springs. On the game's website they have many of the track description videos.

Anyone played iRacing? If you want real world physics and racing, it should be up your alley.
