sjmarcy may have been annoying, but why not just ignore his posts instead of getting mad at him? Why ban him due to insistent posts? I learned a couple of things from him.

I know it's ancient history, but why was patsmx5 banned?

I can see why faeflyper was threatened with banning - TFU posts.

Is mt.net turning into m.net?

Stan attacked Joe.

Pat attacked Rick.

Fae actually contributes...although I was on the "banwagon".

Anything learned from Stan was recycled info you could have found by googling. I found MANY instances where he directly cross copied posts on subjects. He frequents every type of forum you can think of, from audio, photography, and about 20 makes/models of cars. He even ripped off one Lotus owner pretty bad, so add "scammer" to his resume.

I really liked Pat, but he went too far with the owner so no level of contribution or knowledge could save him.

I'm still out for deliberation on Fae. Some days I want to (or have) let my finger slip. But then I see he truly tries to participate, learn, build and contribute. He just wants too badly to be a badass for his own good. When there's 5-6 people trying to copycat hustler it's just not entertaining anymore.

We are definitely not going m.net...just trying to maintain a decent atmosphere for accurate technical discussion.

global ignore screws up the forums. the posts are techincally still there so the threads increase in size and spill over to the second page. if his post is on ignore, there technically isn't a second page and you get an error.

all he's done here is troll. he always posts tons of data, talks tons of talk, but really he never supports or backs his claims in a valid manner. it's annoying and I've gotten numerous complaints about it. He's been fine here over the past few months, but he's been getting worse to the point where he's no longer fun.

patsmx5 was banned because he specifically was trying to damage one of Rick's newly purchased forums. The person he aquired it from gave out a copy of the database, and Pat one spamming the current members to this new mirror site; basically runing Rick's investment. He was caught, asked to stop, but he refused. So Rick banned him across all his sites. Little did pat know that Rick owned mt.net as well...

Hyper was a ******* moron and didnt belong here. he got banned from cr and m.net on the same week.

I also banned that repoforsale dude... that crazy asain guy in CA that would always post his current mileage and videos of him laughing at teenage boys doing donuts in his car. Do you disagree with that?

He was banned because this place doesn't tolerate mediocrity or worse. He's a **** and we don't need ***** around here. It's kind of like that annoying girlfriend you try to ignore, who won't go away. Eventually you have to cut her off. Sometimes you have to do things that aren't nice or pretty to purify the heart. Look at Hitler, it wasn't pretty but he tried to save the world and although it wasn't well received, he knew it was right. lol, this should be exciting

Take it for what it's worth, if you think he was banned for being annoying, so be it. I'm happy to have an e-reputation for banning people who annoy us.

See, that's why I like this place. There's lots of room for discussion, but zero tolerance for ignorant, argumentative douchebags. Informative yet oh-so entertaining once the party gets started...

The problem with M.net is that they tolerate willful and deliberate misinformation and don't like the folks that try to crap on the idiots who need a good ol' fashioned Cleveland steamer.

This actually reinforces my high opinion of this forum.

On another car forum I visit, mass bans would be handed out for discussing staff decisions :(.
