Any idea what this Thrustmaster 458 Italia wheel and pedal set would be like?
http://www.thrustmaster.com/product.aspx?ProductID=239
I wouldnt be expecting Fanatec quality, but for $89 it looks very reasonable....

Carbon pattern is a little big. I may have to design myself a carbon weave and do some carbon cars.
My Veyron SS in carbon and weird silver/black color. So far, only 274mph, too lazy to do some crazy tuning for more. With front and rear wing added, it will actually kind of turn, and will win some R1 races if I race on the tracks with long straights and few turns, like Le Mans. Limits the top speed to only about 260 though. Still much faster than R1 cars.

I'm sure there is some kind of tuning glitch out there to be found. I remember GT3 and GT4 had some pretty insane top speed runs by doing some really crazy tuning ****. Doing it "legally" or without cheating, I can't see 300mph being possible. 275mph is about all the SS has, and I doubt any amount of tuning could do anything for it. Aerodynamically and power restricted. No other car in the game as far as I know is faster than the SS.

I think it's only for the collectors edition people, though it may be DLC. I won this one at level 45 or so. Buying it costs you 2.2million. You can upgrade it a little. Weight reduction, a few power adders, tires I think, wheels, downforce. I got mine up to about 1450hp and down to just over 3000lbs.

Apparently the bottom of the car didnt have any any aerodynamic properties in the "brush" (The properties given to the side of a polygon block, controlling its looks, physics, etc.) SO when you got into a wheelie the frontal area of the car got smaller.
I remember getting cars way past 300 mph. It was hilarious.
