Ok for this Sunday, I'm thinking about doing the GS in "Continental Tire Challenge Series" aka CTCS. There's a group that has already tested the cars and came up with builds!

The car list:
10 Aston Martin Vantage
10 Audi S4
08 BMW M3 E92 2 Door
08 BMW Z4 M Coupe (3.2)
10 Chevrolet Camaro
09 Dodge Challenger SRT8
05 Mustang GT (5.0)
10 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
10 Nissan 370Z (3.7)
06 Pontiac GTO
10 Shelby GT500
08 Subaru WRX STi

Example build:
//2010 Nissan 370Z
Motor:
Street Air Filter
Sport Fuel System
Sport Ignition
Sport Exhaust
Street Camshaft
Race Oil and Cooling
Sport Flywheel

Handling:
FULL RACE CHASSIS
Sport Weight Reduction

Drivetrain:
Sport Clutch
Sport Transmission
Sport Driveline
Race Diff

Tires:
RACE TIRES (Stock)
Buddy Club Rims

Aero:
N/A Spoiler
Last NISMO Bumber and Sideskirts
NISMO Front Bumper #2
NISMO Rear Wing #2

I'm going to see how some of these cars come out, hopefully around high A-class to low S-class. I just have to figure out what track we want to run, I was leaning toward Circuit de Catalunya - National Circuit.

front engine rwd takes more skill on that track then mid engine rwd.
I got my 94 miata to a 8:33, I know it can go faster, probably sub 30s provided I keep my pace up. It just lacks corner exit acceleration.

you know looking back at it. I think we picked the wrong track for those daytona coupe cars... That track is really meant for a LMP class... We should of ran Road Atlanta with those coupe's.

Then don't be a ------ and hit the big curbing. I don't understand this. People keep bitching about flipping on the curbs...so don't use the curbs.

Strike these cars:
AM Vantage
E92
GT500

These all belong in Grand Sport, not CTCS. I think we should run full suspension mods and limitted tire with power adjustments for classing in CTCS. In Grand-Am we get more tire and more power with the "race trans".

Here's the break down from the website:
The big-bore Grand Sport (GS) class features a rules package allowing exotic international machines like the Porsche 997 and Cayman, Nissan 350Z, BMW M3, Subaru WRX, Audi S4 and others to go head-to-head with American iron such as the Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang GT and Dodge Challenger. The smaller Street Tuner (ST) class is GRAND-AM's offering to the import and compact car crowd, with the Honda Civic Si, MAZDASPEED3, Mazda RX-8, Mazda MX-5, Chevrolet Cobalt SS, Dodge SRT4, Mini Cooper S, BMW 328i, BMW 330i and other eligible models.

Been doing multi-car races, so I figured it was time for a spec car . As always, the tune is open you just have to run the specified parts list. Should be a fun time, the car is pretty easy to control un-tuned. Hoping we have a decent turn-out.
