Fair enough.

In the early 1990s, MTV carried an experimental program called Liquid Television. Each half-hour episode consisted of a number of short films, each of which was produced in a different medium (cel animation, stop-motion animation, live-action, CG, puppetry, etc).

As an example of the type of programming carried, Beavis & Butt-head and Æon Flux originally started out as short cartoons within Liquid Television.

One of the stranger episodes (and they were all extremely trippy) was Joe Normal, a 60 second clip about a kid from an exceedingly crazy family who tries to convince himself that he is normal. Among other things, he has a pet dog named Monsieur Bœuf la Tête, which is French for Mr. Beef-head. (The dog is extremely abnormal.)

To be fair, this was one of the lest funny cartoons in the entire series, however the exact phrase "Monsieur Bœuf la Tête" somehow managed to spawn what we would today consider to be an internet meme, despite the fact that almost nobody actually had access to the internet in 1991, and the WWW itself didn't even exist yet.

If you are bored, you can watch all of the old clips here: Liquid Television Classic – Liquid Television Some of them were actually quite good, other of them sucked hard. To all you kids today who think that your generation invented the concept of re-purposing nostalgic imagery from the 1950s and 60s in vulgar and absurd ways, check out Bobby and Billy. That's right, bitches. We were mangling wholesome 50s pop culture back in 1990.

And, rounding the harbor back into Ritalin Bay:

I just couldn't find a decent server last night. They were all either massively imbalanced, filled with mic spammers and children who just learned how to use profanity, or some other such thing.

I figured you were bouncing for that reason, I should have just messaged you and we could have joined forces finding something.

I hit a few new servers last night. One was all rainbow pony town and rainbow pony dance club and other weirdness. They got mad when I was killing them in the dance club. "Hey! No killing," they whined again and again. I'm puzzled by their gay little circle jerk.

So I landed on an excellent server last night running 2Fort. All excellent players, no babies, great team coordination, etc. We're talking about 2Fort rounds that last a whole hour without being boring.

One of the players was named "Vash the Stampede." Not knowing at the time that this is apparently the name of some popular cartoon character, I assumed that this was a totally unique name (like Thraddax the Insidious) and spent the whole game talking to him as though he were our Vash.

Haha whoopsie!

It happens to the best of us Joe. I on the other hand found a terrible server yesterday. Needless to say, hilarity ensued. The admin was playing as a soldier and insisted on rocket jumping across the bridge (also 2fort)

So I pulled out my reserve shooter and shot him out of the air. He got frustrated and teleported me infront of him and killed me. lol.

On top of that, there was a scout that insisted on trying the same thing every time, with the same results of me burning him to death at least 20 times in almost the exact same spot.

I had good luck sniping soldiers who were rocket jumping right at the top of their arc where they slow down a bit. Doesn't work if they are moving a great distance but works well if they are mostly going straight up and down.

I think I'll play a bit since I'm thinking about it.
