I don't know about the best location, but the EASIEST is to tap into the upper rad hose coming from the T-Stat.

is that for the one that has like that long thermometer stick thing? Because i just bought the triple gauge set and it has a thermometer stick so would i have to buy that to hook it up??

I'd tap the heater core inlet tube before the upper radiator hose.....

Please explain why Brain. Is the one closer to the driver side the inlet?

cause if you tap off the line where the water just left the engine you know the exact temp. When the thermostat is closed and you are reading up there, you wont know the actual temps, only the temp of the water just chillin' up there.
