Default 1.8 NA - no power/start without jump

Full disclosure: this issues screams "dead battery" and I am probably in denial having just bought ($$$$) an Optima yellow top in December.

The short.

- Older Westco battery finally ate it after the "polar vortex" kept the local whether in a deep freeze for a few weeks in December.
-Bought an Optima Yellow top
-Car ran great, started without drama even when sitting for a 4 weeks in subzero temps.
-Stored the car toward the end of January after buying a Lesbaru (like a proper MT.netter).
-Car sat in a 10 degree garage for 4-5 weeks. Started the car in early March without drama. Battery didn't struggle, turned the started without issue.
-Car sat for another 5-6 weeks.
-Went to start the car Saturday. D-E-A-D. No power at all, no lights or slow crank. Nuthin'.
-Jumped the car, went for a 20 minute drive.
-Went to start the car after installing the new softtop. D-E-A-D. no power, no sad wimpy crank ... zero power.
-Jumped the car again on Sunday, went for an hour drive. Parked it in the garage.
-This morning? D-E-A-D. No power whatsoever.

Any thoughts? I was going to take the battery to NAPA and have them do a load test; however, I really don't think it's the battery (or want it to be). The car jumps and runs fine so it can't see it being a fuse or alternator issue.

Have it tested. I assume you have some sort of warranty?

According to Apex, they do warranty their Optima batteries for 12 months. Unfortunately, this means shipping it back to them. The pitfalls of buying through the internet .
