A local guy used coroplast to make a cool air box for the intake on his '99. It has held up fine for over a year, though his car is naturally aspirated and still has the heat shield on the stock header. I don't think it would hold up anywhere near a hot turbine.

I acquired a few signs that I'll hack up for ducting the IC and rad, not sure what else though. It's not stiff enough for aero parts and I'm pretty sure it would melt on the hotside of a turbo car.

BTW, the hardware store sells cool little furniture hardware thingies in the bolt section. Bolts thread into them and as you tighten them, barbed feet puncture the material and hold it in place. I used them all over my heat exchangers and they're great.
