I want to know what your experiences are and tell me what you think i should go with for pads.

i will be using this car for some only hard street driving and an auto x every other weekend. and about 3-4 track days a year. i need somthing that i can use on a track and still use on an auto x course and get me home from it. looking at the ebc redstuff that looks like a good option but has anyone tried it? how about the yellow stuff? how about hawk blues? let me know, thx.

I've been running the Axis Ultimates recently.... I like them. They don't have the harder bite like the Hawks.... but they do much better than stock.... Dusting is worse then stock, but not too bad....

Not a bad all-round pad.... street + autox... just not sure about the track though. I haven't been on (of course I was using stocks on the last track day).

Now the problem with the track only pads (blues, etc...) they won't heat up enough on the way home, or on the autox course.... So.... you might want to consider, multiple pads/rotor combo's or go for a more street friendly pad.... <G>

I had EBC Greens. Good for autocross and street. Never tracked them. Only problem is for about the 1st 1000 miles they smelled like rotten eggs when they got hot.

If you aren't taking it to a road course, then hawk hps are my recommendation.

i have used all of the above and non of them cut it... fade fade fade out of all of them

i just want a pad that wont fade, i dont care about heating them up cause as i stated above i have no prob heating them up.

how about this ... a pad that will work for going down a mountain wot. that should be a good measure of what i am looking for. red yellow or hawk blue? anyone use any of them?

those may work out. looks like i would need an operating temp range of about 200-1300. the axxis ultimate is i think 150-950 or so. the ebc reds seem to have the temp range i need and those carbotech pads may work also. thx

Have you tried Hawk HP+s? Operating range is supposed to be 100-1000. I'm hoping I won't be able to fade them on the track. :(

Maybe get some bigger rotors or ducting to disapate the heat better?

well the axxis ults were the ones i have had horrible luck with they smoke after two stops. and there operating temps were just below 1000. yea i finally put on some 1.8 rotors and calipers in hopes to help. ill be putting on some red or the carbotech's next week and if i still have an issue, ill have to resort to ducting. all this is on a stock motor. now my car should be making more than double the power, so now i deffinetly need somthing more robust

I'm going to need new pads soon, any advise?
car will see some trackdays, maybe once a month, and will be driven quite hard almost daily..

Most of the local autocrossers swear by the Hawk HP+ as a street/autox/occasional trackday pad.

same with guys round here. I have pbr ceramics, no problems on x-drilled 1.8 brembo rotors.

Cobalt GT-Sports are about the only pad I've heard good things about that can handle all 3 duties.

I'm willing to swap pads for the track so I just pick the best combo for street and solo2, which for me is soft in the front (HPS) and grippy in the back (HP+)
