I wanted to start a thread for the good finds that I bought and tested from aliexpress for car stuff. Usually, it is cheap stuff but there are some good finds that I made over the years.
I wouldn't trust a C$11 oil/fuel pressure sensor.
I WOULD love a quality 8-AN 100psi fuel pressure sensor (150psi 8-AN sensors are more common).
I bought a cheap sandwich plate kit once - the aluminium block was OK but the aluminium fittings were rubbish (incredibly light, even for aluminium) so were replaced with no resulting leaks..
The Skunk2 TB knock-off is known to have even more issues than the Skunk2 TB.
I HAVE used the plugs/sockets shown and they're holding up.
Below I linked a convenience item that has been holding up and working well for a few years. The ball mount receiving part on the back of the charging pad has a cross pattern cut to allow the ball mount to easily pop in place before tightening the nut. Neither the nut, nor ball mount are used. That cross pattern cut fits nicely over the vent nipple and matches the vertical/horizontal support pieces on the vent. I attached it using plastic epoxy putty and used 2-3 small screws to keep the vent from moving/sagging. I purchased a used vent to modify, my original vent can be popped back in place if it dies or the next owner doesn't want it. An Add-A-Fuse was wired to a fast charger under the dash and a quality cable was routed up to the left side of the charging pad. In the picture below, the cable isn't attached but it was a 90 degree USB-C cable that ran down and turned horizontal, blending into the groove just above the side mirror controls. A few layers of quality electrical tape created a flap that pressed into the groove to hold the cable.
The charging pad sits away from the OEM vent and still allows indirect airflow. It has ventilattion holes on the back so you can run the HVAC to cool the charger and phone. On sunny, 90+ degree days with the top down, my Android phone refused to charge a few times after it got too hot but that was usually because I left the air flow setting blowing on my feet instead of bi-level, or vents. I purchased matching size metal rings off AliExpress to glue to the back of my phone case and I now have extra for future phone upgrades. It's great for a wireless, customizable gauge setup using MSDroid with my MS3pro plus I can still stream music (might be phone dependent) to the BT adaptor in the OEM Bose headunit while wirelessly communicating with the MS3.
FYI, the blue LEDs are a bit harsh at night but it pops apart fairly easily. I applied some paint (seat leather dye was handy at the time) to coat the ring of SMD LEDs. The effect is similar to tinting tail lights, it's no longer overly harsh at night although if I had the tools and patience, I would have preferred to replace the blue LEDs with orange/red to match my dash illumination and maybe look more closely to see if I could change resistor/s to dim them. I glued it back together using E6000 glue from Walmart that I keep around for replacing broken phone screens/digitizers and other projects.

I have the pressure sensor and it seems to work good, I have seen them for sale by multiple companies for like 50$+ for the same sensors so I gave them a chance.

Regarding those 5v pressure sensors, I've tried a bunch from amazon ($17 next day) for use in measuring pool pump pressures (water, indoors, powered 24/7 during the three summer months). The first pair lasted 1 season. Second pair lasted 1 week. Third pair lasted a day/3 days. They wouldn't all fail the same way either...some started to drift high, others low, others just stopped outputting any signal. Also, when new, the pressure/volts for each sensor was not similar, so if you want them to be accurate, you will have to make your own calibration curve for each.
I went with used ebay legit SSI tech sensors ($50) and so far those are working (this summer will be the 3rd year on those).
