i put in a 97 alternator so i can run my ms ecu. and it started squeeling on cold starts (after a few weeks of no problems). i noticed the problem then i tightened it as far as it can go, i even accidently bent the tensioner bolt so need to replace it. but im wondering if anyone has experienced this and gone with a belt a bit smaller to compensate for the different alternator?
its wierd, mine was fine then it started to do it, then i tightened it and fucked up my bolt. the belt is new basically, i got new ones when i did the front seal.
