i put in a 97 alternator so i can run my ms ecu. and it started squeeling on cold starts (after a few weeks of no problems). i noticed the problem then i tightened it as far as it can go, i even accidently bent the tensioner bolt so need to replace it. but im wondering if anyone has experienced this and gone with a belt a bit smaller to compensate for the different alternator?
