Brake booster, VICS and cruise control are vacuum powered. Is there other vacuum powered stuff I need to connect to a vacuum reservoir before boosting? EGR? Carbon canister? Any other emissions stuff?

Of course the MS needs to feel the boost, but is there any vacuum sensing stuff that the boost might screw up?

I'll be moving back to the Bay Area in a couple months so i can't get rid of any emissions stuff.

you want to put a check valve on the vacuum line for the charcoal canister. brake booster has a built in check valve already.

Since he's going MSPNP, the canister purge solenoid will be inactive, thus no need for a check valve.

Maybe I'm just lucky, but apart from the crankcase vent line (from valve cover on hot side) I've made zero modifications to the vacuum system.

Joe, Do you smog that thing? If so, how?

I was hoping to use a dummy RRFPR along with the CARB sticker to get by. But if the MSPNP renders all the emissions systems inactive, I may need to actually hook up the FPR, or worse yet go back to stock each year.

I have an MS (not pnp) and I just passed smog. Although it was the 2 speed idle, not the dyno test. Just need to tune it to pass.

Since you're in WA, I question why you need a CARB sticker and a dummy FPR. For a person living in CA, however, that combination would be considered plausible.

Such an approach rests on the assumption that, for a pre-'96 vehicle, neither the rolling-road test nor the visual are likely to uncover the fact that certain devices on the car, while present, are inactive. This would include both factory items (like the canister purge and AFM) as well as aftermarket items called for in the EO (like the FPR). It also presumes that an inspector is unlikely to notice that your injectors are not stock, provided you've taken steps to conceal this fact, such as painting them flat black and covering them in a thin layer of grease and dirt prior to installing them.

For the '94-'95 cars, it's possible that the lack of a functioning EGR system might have some observable consequences, although I can't speak to that from personal experience. It's probable that the functionality of the EGR system could be restored using a spare output of the Megasquirt.
