Stalling issue
I have a 91 miata, that I swapped in a 94 1.8l along with a complete 94 hanress. So using new maf and all new sensors.
PCV is deleted and vents from valve cover to vented catch can. EGR is deleted, but sensor is plugged in, hanging in the dash. The sensor that keeps fuel from boilin is also plugged in, sitting in the dash. Sensor for catch can is the same. There are 2 wires that sat close to were the catch can sensor would be but I dont have them plugged in because I didn't get them with the harness.
Car throws no codes, I cleaned the maf and tightened the couplers on the intake. 34psi fuel pressure at idle with vacum. Only does it when warmed up. It does lower a good amount, but because of the raised idle when cold it isnt enought to stall it. Neutral safety switch is bypassed.
Early on, the car died coming to a stop light witht he clutch engaged, if you put it in neutral and cousted it was fine. But you would have to give it a little gas pefore you pressed in the clutch again.
It has gotten worse however. The car still runs perfect, and idles perfectly in neutral. But as soon as you press in the clutch the car will die immideately. Today has been the worst yet. I took these two videos but before I took the second video the car didnt want to start with the clutch pressed in. My mind is tellng me the thrust washers, anything else that could cause this?
1st video: In neutral with all everything off, no lights, blower motor, nothing. Rev the car to show oil pressure. Near the end I let the car come to idle and then only pressing in the clutch, the car dies.
2nd video.
